How It Works
We use the free Google PageSpeed Insights API to fetch real user data (CrUX) and lab data for your store URL. We analyze Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and First Contentful Paint (FCP) — the metrics Google uses for ranking.
Why Core Web Vitals Matter
Core Web Vitals are direct Google ranking signals since the May 2021 Page Experience update. Sites passing all three thresholds see up to 20% higher organic traffic. Poor scores trigger a 'page experience' penalty that compounds across all your keyword rankings.
Key Metrics We Analyze
LCP (ideal < 2.5s) measures loading performance. FID (ideal < 100ms) measures interactivity. CLS (ideal < 0.1) measures visual stability. We also report FCP, TTFB, and INP (Interaction to Next Paint) — the upcoming Core Web Vital replacing FID in 2026.
